Hi, my name is Tessa Beard. I’m a therapist who is passionate about working with children, teens, and adolescents to help them navigate life’s challenges and build emotional strength. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) in 2025 and have a deep commitment to supporting the mental health and well-being of young people.
My goal in therapy is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. I strive to help my clients develop healthy coping skills, improve their self-esteem, manage difficult emotions, and build stronger relationships with those around them.
I use a strengths-based, client-centered approach and tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy techniques, and mindfulness strategies to help my clients better understand themselves and the world around them. I also value the importance of involving families when appropriate to ensure lasting growth and healing.
I truly believe that with the right support, every child and adolescent has the ability to thrive.

Hi, I am Nickole Ceesay, MSW, LSW, a Licensed Social Worker currently working toward
obtaining my LCSW. For the past four years, I have served as a School Social
Worker in a therapeutic day school setting, supporting youth ages pre-K through
22 with Autism, Developmental Delays, Emotional Disabilities, Intellectual
Disabilities, and Other Health Impairments.
I have a deep passion for helping children and families navigate life’s
challenges in a safe and supportive environment. I earned my Master’s Degree
in Social Work in 2019 from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where I
built a strong foundation in child development, trauma-informed care, and
evidence-based interventions.
I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents facing
trauma, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ODD, ADD, ADHD, and severe behavioral
challenges. I also have a background in serving the LGBTQ+ community and
supporting children involved in the foster care system. Her approach combines play
therapy techniques with trauma-informed practices to create a space where
children can express themselves freely, build coping skills, and experience healing
through connection and understanding. I believe every child’s story deserves to
be heard and that growth happens when we feel seen, valued, and supported.
My goal is to empower children and families to strengthen emotional
resilience, enhance communication, and find hope through even the most difficult
times. I am committed to offering consistent support and guidance as you or your
child move toward emotional wellness and meaningful growth.
Outside of her clinical practice, I am an active member of Sigma Gamma Rho
Sorority, Incorporated. I enjoy reading, crafting, watching crime shows, and
spending time with my husband.
Together, we can help your child discover their strengths and take confident steps
toward a brighter, more peaceful future.

Hello! My name is Celia, and I'm so glad you've made the profound decision to explore counseling. I truly enjoy the role I have in helping others overcome barriers and setbacks, working together to find long-term, individualized solutions. I help clients process their mental and emotional difficulties by working from a systems and strength-based approach. It's not about where you were or the challenges you were dealt; it's about how we can approach the situation with your current strengths and the new tools we can gain from understanding how your environment affects you.
I completed my undergraduate program at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, receiving my Bachelor's in Social Work in 2020. I then went straight into graduate school, earning my Master's in Social Work with a concentration in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Saint Louis University in 2023.
Through my schooling and practicum hours, I have over six years of experience working with youth aged 4-17 with intellectual disabilities and neurodiverse clients. Over the last year and a half, I have gained experience through family therapy, working with parents and teens at a community mental health provider. Additionally, I have experience with crisis work and de-escalation techniques.
I typically integrate evidence-based modalities like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), or ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to equip my clients with the tools they need to be the most successful version of themselves outside of our session. I also love to use mindfulness and stress management techniques to help navigate the emotions that may arise while processing difficult situations and events.
I hope that by taking this first step, you feel empowered and ready to become your best self.
